Course Sessions & Focus:
Morning Session 8am – 12pm
Realistic De-Escalation Skills (Handling a Crisis) 4-Hours
Integrated Strategies and Tactics, Critical Issues for 911 PSTs, Pre-Suasion and Persuasion Principles-Skills, Logical and Rational Thought Processes, TEB Profile FSI®, Connecting the Dots.
Afternoon Session 1pm – 4pm
Peer-to-Peer Intervention 1-Hour
Course Focus– Professional Standards, Peer Intervention Strategies, 911 Dispatcher Health and Wellness Intervention.
Racial Sensitivity 1-Hour
Course Focus– Racial & Cultural Sensitivity and Awareness, Key Elements Surrounding Diversity, Bias Awareness, Benefits of Sensitivity and Awareness.
Stress Management 1-Hour
Course Focus– Emotional Wear and Stress, Compassion Fatigue, Strategies
for Coping with Stress.
Participants engage in discussion, Q&A, practical exercises, and case studies where applicable throughout the class.
